गुरुपौर्णिमा कार्यक्रम १८ - १९

शुक्रवार दिनांक २७ जुलै २०१८ रोजी महाराष्ट्र गर्ल्स एज्युकेशन संस्थेतर्फे गुरुपौर्णिमा कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. कार्यक्रमाचे अध्यक्षस्थान संस्थेच्या अध्यक्षा श्रीमती. शामा जाधव यांनी भूषवले. प्रमुख पाहुण्या म्हणून ज्येष्ठ कवयित्री व हुजुरपागेच्या माजी विद्यार्थिनी श्रीमती. संजीवनी बोकील उपस्थित होत्या.
'अनुभव हा देखील श्रेष्ठ गुरु असतो' याचे महत्व सांगताना श्रीमती. बोकील यांनी स्वतः शिक्षक असताना विद्यार्थ्यांमुळे व्यक्ती म्हणून मी कशी शिकत गेले, घडत गेले याबद्दलच्या काही हृद्य आठवणींना त्यांनी आपल्या भाषणातून उजाळा दिला. केवळ शिक्षक हाच गुरु नसून विद्यार्थी देखील काही वेळा काही बाबतीत गुरु असू शकतात. त्यांच्याकडूनही बरेच काही शिकता येते असे विचार श्रीमती. संजीवनी बोकील यांनी आपल्या भाषणातून मांडले.
कार्यक्रमामध्ये संस्थेतील शिक्षक व शिक्षकेतरांना विविध पुरस्कार देऊन गौरविण्यात आले. गुरुपौर्णिमा कार्यक्रमास संस्थेच्या मुख्य विश्वस्त श्रीमती. जयश्री बापट, सचिव श्रीमती. रेखा पळशीकर, सहसचिव श्रीमती. शालिनी पाटील उपस्थित होते. उपस्थितांचे आभार संस्थेच्या उपाध्यक्ष श्रीमती. उषा वाघ यांनी मानले.

About School

The first ever school for girls in India by an Indian was established by a social reformist Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and his revolutionary wife Savitri-Bai Phule at Pune in 1848. The second such school was started in Pune by Maharashtra Girls Education Society - “Huzurpaga”. "Huzurpaga" opened the doors of secondary education for girls. Since then this educational institute has been working continuously for past 125 years offering quality education for girls.

The First ever school for girls in India to be established by an Indian was Started, as is well - known, by the social Reformist Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and his revolutionary wife Savitri-Bai Phule in 1848. The Second Such School was started by "Maharashtra Girls Education Society, Huzurpaga" again in pune, which opened the doors of secondary education for girls. Since then this educational institute has been working continuously for 125 years offering quality education to girls. So far girls in about 25000 families have availed of the K.G., Primary, Secondary and higher Secondary school run by this institute situated at Laxmi road, Pune.

The advocates of women’s education and active social reformers like Justice Mahadeo Govind Ranade, Rao Bahadur Shankar Pandurang Modak, Dr. Sir, Ramkrishna Gopal Bhandarkar, Shri vaman abaji Modak have made the revolutionary start for womens education. We are delighted to mention that Hon’ble Indira Gandhi, the Ex. Prime Minister of India, has stayed in our Hostel for some time during her student time. Many of Our past students have reached high positions in the field of Medicine, Literature, Fine Arts, Sports, theater, Law, Education & Politics.

Maharashtra Girls Education Society's Huzurpaga School is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board, Secondary School Certificate (SSC) for Marathi medium and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) (Proposed) for English medium.

 

We wish to lead girls on the way of independent thoughts. They are the source of tremendous joy and hope of humanity.

 

History

In 1848 Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and his wife Savitri-Bai Phule established the first ever girls school in India at Pune. Second such school exclusively for girls education was establish by Maharashtra Girls Education Society named "Huzurpaga". "Huzurpaga" was established on 2nd oct. 1884.
